Austin Reaves has become the Los Angeles Lakers’ real third option. He has performed considerably better than anyone could have predicted when he joined the NBA. Although he is by far the Lakers’ most valuable realistic trade piece, it is unlikely that they are actively seeking to trade him. In his most successful season, he shot 37.7% from outside the arc, scored 20.2 points per game, and contributed 5.8 assists. Reaves still has a lot of opportunity to grow as an NBA player, but the Lakers might consider selling him if the proper deal is made.
The San Antonio Spurs are one of the clubs that has the riches and youthful talent to contend at Reaves. Although they have a lot of youthful players, they are almost a win-now squad. A seasoned big-game performer, Reaves has the potential to help the Spurs advance.
