After a year in Columbus, he moved back to Texas,

where he finally had the chance to take over as the Longhorns’ starter and develop into an NFL-caliber passer.

In his final season at Texas, Ewers put up outstanding stats,

throwing for 3,218 yards, 27 touchdowns, and six interceptions, with a 69.5% completion rate.

He guided Texas to a College Football Playoff appearance,

demonstrating his ability to perform under duress and deliver clutch throws when it counted the most.

Now, as he waits to hear his name called on draft night, Ewers finds himself in an unusual situation.

Some consider him a first-round lock, while others believe he may make it to Day 2.

Regardless of where he ends up, it’s evident that he’s been making business-like moves since before he ever played a collegiate game,

and he’s now ready to let his game speak for itself at the next level.
