The destination Zermatt-Matterhorn is thrilled to have been approved as a Level I-committed Swisstainable destination. The sustainability initiative of Switzerland Tourism and the Swiss Tourism Federation (STV) is called Swisstainable.
Businesses and locations from all throughout the Swiss tourist industry are brought together by the program. The location supports sustainable tourism by committing to ongoing sustainable development through its participation in the program.

Zermatt Tourism has identified five particular initiatives that will be implemented over the next four years, in addition to prior sustainability efforts and a certain number of Swisstainable categorized service partners.
