The busy road has been closed in both directions between junctions 12 and 13, due to what National Highways describes as a police-led incident. Motorists are advised to expect delays, and detour routes have been given.

Following a car incident earlier this morning, all traffic on the M18 is being stopped.

According to Inrix, all traffic on the M18 southbound is being halted due to a crash. The traffic on the motorway is currently stopped. This is between junction 3 on the A6182 White Rose Way and junction 2 on the A1(M) junction 35. This has been going on since around 9.54am this morning.
