The Florida Department of Transportation reports that new drainage pipes will be installed beneath the intersection by construction workers.
The US 98 driving lanes won’t be impacted by the closure. To get to the Summerwood neighborhood, drivers can take a detour by turning onto Hills Road and then continuing east onto Summerwood Drive.
The FDOT stated that the construction is weather-dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.
Drivers are urged to use caution when traveling through a work zone.
